Do You Know a Student at a Chiropractic School?

Apply for the Dr. Louis Sportelli Legacy of Leadership Scholarship

ChiroCongress Cares has established a Legacy of Leadership Fund to raise and distribute resources for scholarships to chiropractic students. Each year a scholarship is named for a leader, past or present, in the profession. This year’s honoree is chiropractic visionary Dr. Louis Sportelli, who serves as president of the NCMIC Foundation.

For more information and to apply for the Dr. Louis Sportelli Legacy of Leadership Scholarship, click here. The deadline to submit an application is June 30, 2024. The scholarship will be awarded at the annual ChiroCongress Convention in Denver, Colorado, November 14-16, 2024.

The first honoree of the Legacy of Leadership Scholarship was our own Dr. Tom Klapp, a Michigan chiropractic legend and trailblazer who passed away in 2020. Dr. Klapp was a dedicated servant of the chiropractic profession who was a ChiroCongress board member from 1993 to 2002. He contributed significantly to various chiropractic organizations, including the Michigan Chiropractic Foundation, Life University, The Chiropractic Summit, and the Foundation for Chiropractic Progress. He was also a founding member of OneChiropractic, a nonprofit committed to promoting drugless chiropractic. His dedication to ChiroCongress was evident in his involvement in significant events such as the 50th Anniversary Celebration in 2019 and the launch of the strategic plan project at the Future of Chiropractic Forum.
